Hi, my name is Anne Zachry and welcome to my blog! My mission is to educate and empower therapists, teachers, caregivers, and parents of children with special needs.
I am the mother of 3 children, and I have been a pediatric occupational therapist for 27 years. I have a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, and I'm currently an Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. I write for Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine online at @ www.pnmag.com, www.parenthood.com, www.babble.com, and www.parents.com. I have written a parenting course for Daily OM, and I have been quoted in Parenting magazine, www.education.com and on www.sheknows.com.
My research has been published in national peer-reviewed journals, including The Southern Medical Journal, The American Journal of Occupational Therapy, and The Occupational Therapy Journal of Research. I've had articles published in my profession's trade magazines, Advance and OT Practice, and in a number of regional parenting magazines.
